INTRODUCTION

- SAMMA: Société d’acconage et de manutention en mauritanie is a maritime agency, stevedoring, handling & customs clearance company;   - It was created on May 26,1960 in response to the needs of SNIM, the mother iron ore company in Nouadhibou; - SAMMA’s headquarters are in Nouadhibou & it has a branch in Nouakchott;  - SAMMA has been the sole responsible for unloading all of Snim’s mining & rail equipment in Nouadhibou since 1960;  -  At Nouakchott SAMMA is the agent of Baco - liner that calls Nouakchott every fortnight  and Nouadhibou once a month straight from        Europe with no transhipments ;
